VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK
TRIM GRANT
TREE INVENTORY PROJECT

Sealed bids for completion of a tree inventory project at Veterans Memorial Park will be received at City Hall located at 500 East Locust, Union, MO 63084 until 2:00 PM (prevailing local time) on the eighteenth day of December 2017, at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Union, and at that time will be publicly opened and read.  All bids shall be submitted in the form of paper bids.

The proposed work includes the inventory of the approximate 3 acre natural forested area located within Veterans Memorial Park.  The purpose of the project is to identify significant native species within the area to develop a forestry management plan for the particular site.

All proposals must include the following:

  1. Identification of the specific products and services to be provided.
  2. Technical Proposal including field mapping, project timeline, data quality control plan, and communication plan.
  3. Project Staff Qualifications and Experience.
  4. Itemized Cost for the Proposed Project.

The total project cost must not exceed $11,240.

All labor used in the project shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate) or state wage rate, whichever is higher.

The project will use federal funds through a Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance (TRIM) Grant.  Bidders are expected to familiarize themselves and comply with all state and federal regulations pertaining to public improvement projects.

The City of Union hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantage individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.

A certified or cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.

The City of Union reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
