New Year, New Fitness Classes

Union, Missouri – Union Parks & Recreation Department (UPRD) is partnering with Lifeforce Fitness to offer a variety of wellness classes in the new year. Class include Yoga, Cardio Fit Cross-Training and Total Body Conditioning. All classes are held in the city’s aerobics room, located in the Lower Level of City Hall, at 500 East Locust Street, Union, 63084. Participants are asked to enter the side door located near the corner of Linden St. and E. Locust St.

Morning Yoga allows individuals to gain flexibility, tone muscles, and enjoy the flow of breath within the body.  Develop a mind, body, and spirit connection and awaken oneself to a more relaxed and efficient lifestyle. No previous experience required for this class. Participants are asked to bring a mat.  Class is offered on Mondays from 9:30-10:15am from 01/08/18 - 02/12/18.

Morning Cardio and Strength prepares individuals for weekend fun with this upbeat class. Routines include combinations of cardio, strength, balance and flexibility, all performed to motivating music. This class is suitable for all levels of fitness. Class is offered on Thursdays from 9:30-10:15am from 01/11/18 - 02/15/18.

Cardio Fit Cross-Training is great for both men and women and is suitable for all levels of fitness. This class offers continual mix of methods including: aerobic/anaerobic circuits, explosive intervals, athletic drills, cardio-kick, sport conditioning and pyramid training to boost the metabolic rate. Class is offered on Mondays from 6:30-7:15pm from 01/15/18 - 02/19/18. Participants are invited to try a FREE introductory class for Cardio Fit Cross-Training on Monday, January 8 from 6:30-7:15pm!

Beginning Yoga allows individuals to gain flexibility, tone muscles and enjoy the flow of breath within the body. Yoga is similar to the other yoga classes, except this class will include the theory of Yoga, plus exercises and breathing techniques. Previous experience is strongly suggested. Participants are asked to bring a mat. Class is offered on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm from 01/10/18 - 02/21/18, with no class held on 2/14/18.

Total Body Conditioning 
is great for both men and women and is suitable for all levels of fitness. This class is designed to strengthen and stabilize muscles, develop balance and range of motion utilizing the individual’s body weight, body balls, gliding discs, step platforms, medicine balls and exercise tubing which will be provided. Class is offered on Thursdays from 6:30-7:15pm from 01/18/18 - 02/22/18. Participants are invited to try a FREE introductory class form Total Body Conditioning on Thursday, January 11 from 6:30-7:30pm
