Total Solar Eclipse 2017

Where will you be during the Great American Solar Eclipse on August 21, 2017?

Millions of Americans will see the sight of a lifetime on August 21, 2017 when a rare total solar eclipse will sweep the nation in a narrow strip stretching from Oregon to South Carolina.

Union, Missouri is located right smack in the middle of this narrow strip, allowing viewers here to see 100% total solar eclipse for a duration of 2 minutes and 37 seconds.   The eclipse event will begin at 11:48 a.m.  with a partial eclipse, and reaching totality at 1:15:43 p.m., then remaining in total eclipse until 1:18:20 p.m.

The City of Union is planning a public viewing event at the new Veterans Memorial Park.   We are hoping to have a full weekend of things to do and will post them here as plans are made.

Union, MO is a great place for U to be on August 21, 2017 ... so put this date on your calendar now.
